The Home Buying Process

A simple guide to the process and timeline of purchasing your home.

Budget

First, and incredibly important, is to speak with a lender and get approved for a loan - this enables you to look at homes within your budget

Must Haves

Figure out your absolute must haves - number of bedrooms, bathrooms, garage stalls, etc

Shopping Around

Speak with me and go home shopping

Submit Offer

Once we have found a home you love, we will use the lender letter and submit an offer

When submitting an offer, the seller can either accept, reject without a counter offer, or send a counter offer

Offer Accepted

Once the offer is accepted, the next step is to deposit the earnest money - this is your good faith way of saying that you intend to purchase the home

You will need to begin looking for homeowners insurance at this time as well

Inspections and Appraisal

Schedule and attend the inspection - this is when you are given an opportunity to get to know your house and what to expect

Once we make it through the inspection, we wait for the appraisal

Close!

Once we get through the appraisal, we just wait for the lender to say that we are clear to close!
